To mark the International Women’s Day 2015, MAG in coordination with Hariyo Ban Program conducted an interaction on “Making It Happen: Celebrating Women’s Leadership In Conservation”.  4 Change Agents (2M/2F) were awarded for their contribution and initiation in Forest and Natural Resources Management and promoting women leadership.

The program also had 2 forms of Panel Discussion simulataneously, where the first Panel discussion was the sharing of the 4 Change Agents Awardees from the districts.  They shared their challenges and experience of working in conservation with the other participants and the representatives from the government authorities.  Similarly, the other panel discussion had representatives from National Women Commission, Ministry of Forest and Soil Conservation.

Hon. Neelam Kc, Minister for Women, Children & Social Welfare was the Chief Guest of the program.  The program also witnessed some other special guests from Federation of Nepali Journalists, USAID, Hariyo Ban Program  and WWF Nepal Office.
