Comprising 33 Female Journalists of print & broadcast media from 13 districts; Mahottari, Khotang, Makwanpur, Dhading, Sarlahi, Siraha, Chitwan, Saptari, Bara, Parsa, Kathmandu, Lalitpur & Bhaktapur, MAG in-coordination with UNESCO office in Kathmandu conducted 2-day training on Personal Safety & Professional Journalism For Female Journalists in Kathmandu (April 22-23, 2015).

Dhurba Hari Adhikary (Senior Journalist), Elisabeth Witchel (Consultant, Committee to Protect Journalist), Tahmina Rahman (Director, Bangladesh & South Asia, Article 19), as the trainers provided the participants in-depth knowledge on the issues of personal safety alinging professionalism.  The trainers also talked about the international scenario and trends and practices.  Further, Babita Basnet (President, MAG) & Laxman D. Pant (Coordinator of Increasing Safety of Journalists Program, UNESCO) also made thematic presentation on the topic.
