On September 2, 2025, MAG in collaboration with UN Women, successfully organized a Consultation Meeting with Women Political Leaders in Butwal, Lumbini Province. The meeting fostered meaningful discussions on issues shaping the landscape for women in politics, including:
• Media representation of women in politics
• Impact of online gender-based violence (OGBV)
• Gendered disinformation during campaigns
• Expectations for media and digital accountability
These insights will contribute to the development of the Media Compact, advancing gender equality and accountability in political representation.
