On September 3, 2025, MAG in partnership with UN Women, successfully organized a impactful Consultation Meeting with Media Houses, Media Organizations, and Journalists in Butwal, Lumbini Province.
The meeting focused on themes to advance gender equality in media:
Fair and equitable coverage of women leaders Ethical reporting on Online Gender-Based Violence (OGBV) Combating gendered disinformation Promoting responsible media and social media practicesThese discussions contributed valuable insights toward the development of the Media Compact, fostering a more inclusive and ethical media landscape.
