On September 19 & 23 , 2025, MAG organized a Consultation Meeting with Women Political Leaders in Bagmati Province, in collaboration with UN Women. This meeting provides a platform for an insightful discussions on key challenges shaping women’s political participation:
• Media representation of women in politics
• The impact of online gender-based violence (OGBV)
• Gendered disinformation during campaigns
• Expectations for media and digital accountability
These vital conversations will directly inform the development of the Media Compact, driving forward gender equality and enhanced accountability in political representation.
